Getting Started
Yes! You can use Belly-Well in anonymous mode without creating an account or signing in. All your journal entries and preferences are stored locally on your device.
The trade-off is that your data is tied to your device — if you delete the app or switch phones, it won't carry over. Creating a free account (or signing in with Apple) enables encrypted cloud backup.
You can update your preferences any time:
1. Open Belly-Well
2. Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner
3. Navigate to Food Preferences or Dietary Restrictions
4. Update and save
Your meal suggestions will update automatically.
The Gut Health Score is a 0–100 snapshot of how your gut has been doing based on your recent logs. It's calculated from:
• Your mood and energy ratings over the past 7 days
• The proportion of good days vs. difficult days
• The presence of symptom-free days in your log
The more consistently you log, the more accurate it gets. It's a wellness trend indicator — not a medical measurement. Always consult a healthcare professional about your digestive health.
Belly-Well is currently available in:

The app automatically uses your device language. If yours isn't listed, the app defaults to English. More languages are on the way — email us to suggest one!
Your Data & Privacy
No. We do not sell your data. Ever.
Your health information — meal logs, symptoms, mood check-ins, food preferences — is private and never shared with advertisers, data brokers, employers, or insurers.
The only third parties that touch your data: Supabase for secure cloud storage, and an AI API for generating anonymized meal suggestions (no personal identity or health history is sent). See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Belly-Well lets you optionally attach photos to meal and symptom entries — for example, a photo of your meal or a food label.
Camera permission lets you take a new photo in-app. Photo library permission lets you pick an existing one. We never access photos without your explicit action, and photos are never analyzed by AI or shared with anyone.
You can request complete deletion at any time:

We confirm within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. A confirmation email is sent when it's done. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Subscription & Billing
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel:
1. Open Settings on your iPhone
2. Tap your name → Subscriptions
3. Find Belly-Well → Cancel Subscription
Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. If you cancel during your free trial, you won't be charged anything.
If you reinstalled or switched devices and your subscription isn't showing:
1. Open Belly-Well → Settings (gear icon)
2. Tap Restore Purchase
3. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID used to purchase

All purchases go through Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple:
→ Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Belly-Well charge, and tap "Request a Refund."
Apple handles refund decisions. Our support team can help you navigate the process if needed.
1. Force-quit and reopen — swipe up from the bottom, swipe away Belly-Well, then reopen.
2. Restart your device — a full restart clears memory and resolves most intermittent issues.
3. Update the app — check the App Store for a pending update.
4. Reinstall — if it persists, delete and reinstall. If you have an account, data will restore from the cloud.
